Hotshots Program Descriptions
Blue Classes: For ages 4-5 years. These sessions are designed to help children become accustomed to the FUNdamentals of tennis. Concentrating on developing children’s Agility, Balance and Coordination and Ball Striking skills in fun games based learning environments.
Red Classes: For ages 6-8 years. Along with further development of the essential Agility, Balance and Coordination skills, there is also a strong emphasis on developing rallying and gameplay skills on a modified courts to give young players the sense of not only hitting tennis balls but of beginning to ‘play’ the sport of tennis. Development squads for more advanced / experienced players will also be offered at this level.
Orange to Green Classes: For ages 9-11 years. Played with modified balls and court sizes (as appropriate) these sessions aim to give players the confidence to progress their tennis on through giving them an excellent grounding in modern tennis technique.Games and matchplay is also introduced with players being prepared to eventually become full court (Yellow Ball) players. Development squads for more advanced / experienced players will also be offered at this level.
Yellow Ball Classes: For ages 12+ years. These sessions are for older players that are ready to play on a full sized tennis court. Players can expect to focus on developing excellent technique through drills while also introducing lots of fun competitive gameplay. Development squads for more advanced / experienced players will also be offered at this level.
